GIFTS OF SECURITIES

Providing a gift of securities, bonds or mutual funds to the Trust is the same as donating cash with the added benefit of the capital gains tax being eliminated.

As the donor you receive a charitable receipt and a greater tax savings compared to a donation of cash following the sale of the same security. An income tax receipt is issued for your gift, based on the full market value of the security on the date the security is transferred to the Kettle Creek Conservation Trust.

Gifts of securities can be placed in an Endowment Fund or expended immediately by the Trust.
